Grow up. She is a wife and mother, and one of the most impressive gymnasts competing. She has been to FIVE Olympics, so I think she can wear whatever footwear she wants, considering she took home vault silver here at the age of 33!

Alicia couldnt have won silver because her second vault was only a 5.8 with Chusovitina at a 6.0 Sacramone's only hope i think was for a bronze medal.

@uvahooful the reason why she won a medal was cause her first score was incredibly high. If chen fei didnt fall her 2nd score would probably have been higher by one point. which is alott considering that the difference between first and 3rd place was like .2 or something

@mychemifangirl With the old code, easier routines = cleaner = gold medal. This is why Kui Ling Ling didn't win BB when she was CLEARLY the better beam worker... both systems are flawed, the old system worse than the new one. With the old system, taking risks was discouraged because you didn't gain anything from doing risky difficult moves- everyone just stuck with easy vaults and easy routines to get them as clean as possible. Boring? Definitely.

This is what i don't think is right. If a gymnast perfectly executes a vault, &sticks the landing, she deserves a PERFECT score. I don't like how just because someone does a 10x more difficult vault & FALLS that she is considered a better gymnast. They should just go back to the old code of points before difficulty was considered. Just because a gymnast does a difficult vault, doesn't mean she can DO IT WELL.
