My new series "The Archives" covers famous and infamous levels in Mario's past hits. Included are the most challanging, unique, and epic levels the franchise has to offer. To kick off the series, I'll start with Super Mario World's "Outrageous."
This level in Super Mario World is by far the most challanging. It's the 7th. of 8 hidden levels in Special World. It can only be accessed by completing Star Road, a challange in itself that requires beating 5 levels with their secret alternate exits. The path to Star Road opens at several points in the game that also require alternative completions. A shortcut that leads directly to Bowser's Castle can also be found along the way. The entirity of Special Zone is hidden from many players. This level is the most challanging level to reach, and even more challanging to complete.
It plays unlike any level in Mario, focussing heavily on timing and reflexes. Every enemy is timed so precisely that going too fast/slow or jumping too high/short will prove to be deadly. Bullet Bills have never been used more efficiently.
This sprite change takes place when completing Special Zone, signifying the completion of the entire game. The level after this one isn't nearly as difficult, making this the single hardest level in the game.
Cant fly through it, cant use yoshi, cant do anything. All he does is fuckin die. Should gave called this game " super game for fat fucks that have no life, job or girlfriend...",
