Guess that would rather have come from "Le fantôme de l'Opéra", published in 1910 by French novelist Gaston Leroux and its several movie or TV adaptations, one with Lon Chaney as early as 1925. If anything, it was Beauty and the Beast that inspired itself partly from it, though the main inspiration came from the Cocteau movie of the classic fairytale.

The three seasons of "Beauty and the Beast" are now out on DVD, and I think it's currently aired in the USA on Chiller. You're in for a treat!

Umm first of all, Linda Hamilton left the show to be there for her newborn and she wanted to concentrate on her family life.

Second of all, the reason they canceled the show is because the costs were immense, at a whopping 1million per show budget.

To resort to name calling, especially a person you don't know, is ludicrous. I wouldn't even say that about anyone I did know. What's the purpose? It doesn't solve anything and it only creates a negative image of yourself.

This is one of the most romantic videos out there and hands down, one of the best series ever. Each show in the first two seasons is better than the last. However, I wished the ending could have been more positive. Perhaps someone will write a different ending??

I wish I could find someone like Vincent. This show is so beautiful. I only wish that they would continue the show WITH Catherine. Not many shows these days have the magic that this show had.

What episode was the scene at 1:19 from? I went through the series, but I can't find any with that scene. It looks like Catherine gave Vincent her ivory rose in a leather pouch. I don't remember Vincent ever losing it.

I imagine that in "Awakening", an imaginary edisode, which would be the one after episode after the last episode, Legacies, season 3, Catherine (or Vincent) would wake up, and say that it all had been a terrible nightmare, or warning, she decides to stay below while Vincent recovers from his ordeal and Catherine and Vincent continue on their path to fulfilling their dream of being together.
