Man, I'm stumped.
Opened 8080, 9090, 9777.
I have my IP and port matching, using 8080 in both the app and my HTPC.
Ports opened on both router and on the HTPC firewall. Firewall set to accept XBMC incoming and outgoing. Firewall is also completely disabled. Also disabled my antivirus just in case.
Using the web browser (on HTPC) to visit XBMC works, but I keep getting an error when running the test in Constellation.
Cannot use Safari on Iphone or Ipad to connect to XBMC.

@isai76 it works fine on Windows 7, did you set the "host" and the "port" the same number on you PC and you iPad 2?, if not, then it won't work

does this not work when xbmc is installed on windows 7? I can't get the ipad 2 to connect.

got the same issu :( the poort 8080 tcp and 9090 tcp and 9777 udp not working for me :( please help xD

Great video.. but I can't connect to json rpc.. my Lion hasn't firewall on.. but on my iPad Constellation says Failed to comet to port 9090.. what can I do? also on my router that port is opened

I followed these instructions and I can't get it to connect. I'm on XBMC 10 with Constellation app on iPad. During your set up I noticed an "Announce these services to other system via Zeroconf." This option isn't present on my copy of XBMC for Windows XP. This could be the problem. Do you happen to know a way to resolve this issue? Any help would be appreciated.

Note: This does not work with XBMC installed on your xbox (XBMC4XBOX)

@moralesparra84 Take your tin foil hat off. Great remote by the way. XBMC is by far the best mediacenter out today and this remote makes it even better. THANKS!
