What would you do if you had minutes to live? Trace one young man's few minutes of trying to fulfill his highest potential.

written and directed by Ien Chi

Never have I put in so much effort into a single film. This short film is the result of hundreds of hours of work from many people. It is definitely the most ambitious and biggest scale project I've done thus far. Watch in HD and with good sound!

Filmed with a 5d mark ii with 24-70mm lens on a steadicam merlin. We did 36 takes to get the right one. Yes, the film is all in one take. All shot on Oxford College of Emory campus.

  • I'm also desperate to know the song that you used as the backing track. It is exquisitely beautiful. Please let me know! :)

  • What is that music in background playing?

  • Great short film Ien. I'm a student currently at UF and I have a short film project coming up, this really inspired me to think outside of the box for my own film! btw it was awesome that it was all one continuous shot, to the untrained eye one wouldn't even notice! People don't understand how difficult that is to nail everything in one continuous shot, I bet it took you quite a lot of takes to get it just right. Good luck on your future film endeavors!

  • emit is time backwards
