What do people expect form a trailer that was made in 1964 for god sake, get with the times and smell the roses. Don't judge a book by its cover hey. This film is the greatest battle film of all time. Great acting like it should be and no cheesy american rubbish.

Its not a racist film Rachel, its history and unfortunately in the 1800's Great Britain wanted the Zulu nation to be under the realm of the British Empire, and hey didn't want it. Which is understandable, This film is not on the lins of American History X so that comment was utter stupid.

@NewDayStudios I thought they also portrayed the Zulus well. Guts, courage, organization, honor. In the opening scenes the Zulu victory over the larger British force was depicted. The rest of the film to me just shows the gut wrenching struggle between two very committed forces. One of my favorite parts is when the two sides chant and sing to bolster their confidence. It's just a stunning, stunning film.

British propaganda movie....why are the British supposed to be the heroes when the Zulus are the ones defending their country? Anyway rourke's drift was only a skirmish that was turned in to a big deal by the limeys to paper over the earlier defeat at Isandhwlana. If you can put this to one side then it is an entertaining action flick just the same, kind of like a Brit version of John Wayne swatting red indians like flies.

@enjoythewildUSA yea, watching this film makes you proud to be british, and considering it was directed by a fellow countryman of yours, he got everything about the brits spot on, this film will stand the test of time
