Tsuki, once again is let off the leash on the same beach (a year later) and does not run away. She stays near and in control. Video 3 out of 3
Tsuki, una vez mas es dejada suelta (un año despues) en la misma playa y no se escapa. Se queda en las cercanias y en control. Video 3 de 3
@LAINKO Very much agreed :D Dog's are only hyper and out of control, if the owners are lazy with no control. My Border Collie walks off of the leash for the vast majority of the time, and we have no problems :D i only walk her on the leash when we go past a busy road (to avoid you know, death by cars XD)

I have a four year old Shiba, it's always off
leash. ALL THE TIME.

agrees strongly with LAINKO -- far too many people don't do enuf training with their pets.

I think that it's awesome that you let your dog off leash. I've seen a lot of people commenting on how bad of an idea it is, but I think it's a bad idea to always keep your dog on leash.
What happens if you let go or the leash slips, and you don't have any control because you've never practiced control without the leash? Well, then they're screwed.
So yeah, awesome job. :3 It's the dog, not the breed, that allows you to do things.

Don't do this. if it comes down to a rabbit/prey or you - the Shiba will choose a prey and run right in front of a car. Not worth it.
