  • you spend all this money on aluminum material and 12 servos, but you can't buy an extra 2 ultrasound range finders. Instead you buy an extra servo to make it oscillate left and right.

  • @rfengr Servos were provided by the class, so we didn't have to spend much on them. My partner co-oped at a stamping factory so we got the aluminum parts pretty much for free.

  • that was a sick ass robot!

what do the robot class do with the robot when the class is over? scrap it for scrap metal? :P

maybe you should put some shoes on it, like maybe some rubber feet things?

  • Due to the cost of parts, the class usually scraps whatever robots people make after the course is over. In our case, it was so good that they kept it as one of the demo models for future classes, though it has been three years so it may have been scrapped by now.

  • that is adorable!!! what college is this? looks like a fun class

  • Made this at Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) in Robotics class. That class was one of my favorites.

  • no like...

  • is robotics class hard cause i want to look in to it for college?

  • People are going to see those tracks in the snow and think an alien was here

  • Great robot, shame you didn't get to keep it! I think the 1 ultrarange senso really fits the model. It makes it cute/biomechanical whereas 2 would have made it a robot.

  • @rfengr ASSumption is the mother of all ASS*oles

  • 2:19 Salsa cookies, Windmill cookies, they give you Gaunaria

  • This reminds me of the robot slave ship in "Star Wars" with all the quirky robots that got collected and then auctioned off to the highest bidder.
