Dumfries was flooded again today. The Whitesands was flooded closing
car parks for shoppers and disrupting local buisnesses in the run up to their Christmas period. The flooding closes one of the busiest routes in Dumfries and causes emergency vehicles to take alternative routes to the hospital.

  • well done mr slater for video footage, but where are all the council officials now to see first hand the damage done tonight?????? . I witnessed the damage tonight it was absolutely heart breaking and not one council official in sight, think shame of yourselves

  • @catman1920 Thank you for your response. Imade the film to show what happens when Dumfries gets flooded. Some politicians beleive nothing should be done to resolve this continual flooding. The fact are it affects a great part of the town. The flooding also affects emergency vehicles traveling to our local hospital. It disrups traffic and causes untold misery for residents and businesses.

  • @catman1920 Ihave made a film about the flooding aftermath ,it is on my channel.

  • We should tell the tourists that for a few days a year the whitesands becomes a marina, kind of like a cold and grey Monte Carlo. That will get them to Dumfries for sure.

  • love dunfies live in england with my mum but go to dumfires to see my dads

  • you need to get to the countryside, where the real floods happen!!

  • Mr Slater your videoing of different events is absolutely fantastic , I have thoroughly enjoyed watching them. Keep the video camera rolling.

  • Wow its amazing to see this, but terrible that it happens so often and nothing is getting done about it, its very bad for business in a town that is struggling to stay afloat as it is.
