I have never jumped before...can you even hear people who are screaming at you? Ive seen alot of videos where the guy next to him has an issue and he starts yelling cut it, cut it! I guess its better than just watching your friend plummet to his death without at least warning him he is about to die...lol.

Hey, what were you doing between the two times you tried to untwist? It looks like it took you quite long to reach/use the cutaway handle. Were you 'centrifuged' ? (word taken from french :S )

@Zilounay ...may sound silly but I had extremely frozen hands and I was working at the cut-away handle the whole time my hands are out of view. Learned a good lesson from that, I was using one hand and due to a lack of sensation (cold & gloves) I couldn't get the cut-away to release. I reach back up to try and kick out again, was more of a panic move..thankfully I quickly realized my only chance was to achieve the cut-away and get my reserve out. Two hands and some adrenaline and I got it.

thats crazy. So did you have to cut away the lines or did you just pull the cord that release the main - or would that have also released your reserve and possibly caused an entanglement?

@zF15z Yeah it was a pretty crazy ride...I pulled my cut-away handle to cut the main parachute and then pulled my reserve handle to deploy the reserve parachute.
