Dennis Ross joins TNR Editor Frank Foer to discuss his new book and latest contribution -- to The New Republic Iran symposium, "The Persian Paradox." Read it at www.tnr.com.
Dennis Ross is naive, simplistic and all-around wrong for the job when it comes to Iran. Ross's "carrot and stick" policies will continue to provide ammunition for reactionary politicians within Iran, as they can simply continue to scapegoat Israel and the United States for all of their economic and security problems instead of taking steps toward reform. This issue is much more complex and calls for more than simple black and white evaluations from hard-headed know-nothings like Dennis Ross.
