This retelling of the classic tale of James Hilton's Utopian lost world plays out uneasily amid musical production numbers and Bacharach pop music. This musical number is came Living together, Growing together.

  • I can understand how critics panned this movie, especially considering the quality of the original. Having said that...I was a young boy and it was the first movie I saw in the theatre. I loved it and I still get nostalgic when I see clips like this. There are emotions you have at that age that slip away over the years. I can almost touch them when I watch this. The movie, the concept, the song, the little boy back then, the hope---all so innocent. Something lacking in the world today

  • I believe this is an extremely underrated movie! Such a beautiful film, with wonderful music.

Burt Bacharach is at his best!

  • I have a feeling that only the guy on lead is doing his own singing. It sounds like the rest of the vocals are by Burt Bacharach's studio vocalists, who backed up many of the artists he wrote for.

it actually sounds like the same people who sang on Burt's own recording of I'll Never Fall in Love Again. Beautiful song, no matter whose really singing.

  • If only we strive to live as community where greed, jealousy and hatred will have no place. If this be quite impossible, striving and trying to may be enough.

  • Families come in different sizes, shapes and colors.

  • Im John Barry through and through, but i was brought up on all the great artists.

    And Bacharach/David.....such great songs

  • i also watched this movie when the invasion of cyprus happened in 1974 by turkey and have loved this movie since then i was a ten year old girl who was inspired by there music at a time when there was a lot of sadness

  • @landofsuchbeauty I couldn't agree more.

  • @Cineramicfilms I just tried to find this on DVD today....glad to hear it's coming out.
