  • Research using "injected" mice has taught us a great deal about the effects of blocking myostatin on muscle growth. The Piedmontese cattle are now also involved in research that looks at the effects on the BONE development of these "naturally in-active myostatin" animals. Their body structure has adapted to the extreme muscling & changes in weight placement.

Piedmontese are noted for producing the leanest & most tender beef with higher omega3 content, due to inactive myostatin.

  • Is is a good idea to buy Myo-blast( a Myostatin bloker)?

  • No, I don't think so. These cattle shown the effects (increased muscle and lean-ness) of blocked myostatin because they have a genetic influence. At the genetic level, their myostatin is blocked... It is all natural for them.

  • myostatin definency has to be important because our joints and our bones will have to grow stronger in order to support the massive amounts of muscle.

  • When the myostatin disfunction occurs naturally, like in the Piedmontese breed, the bones and joints are adapted to handle the heavier muscle. Bone density affects bone strength more than bone size does.

  • Myo-Blast is a scam to try to get peoples money.

  • Please go back and read the article a little more carefully! The whippet was NOT "injected" with anything. This is a genetic abnormality called "bully whippets"! There is NO SUCH THING AS AN INJECTABLE MYOSTATIN BLOCKER! Nor do any supplements contain Myostatin blockers, no matter what they claim. Stay away from these scams!

  • @dav1dh0ff YORappaloosa is right, those cows were born like that. And those so called "Myostatin blocker" injections don't exist yet

  • true. called follistatin

  • This examples don't have the copy of the gene name myostatin wich regulates muscle but there is a side effect since myostatin is require to build tendons does who don't have or have lower amount of myostating have weak tendons. Tendons is the connective tissues that connects muscle to bone.

  • BINGO!!!!!

In spite of the very logical and true statements you make, some desperate soul will believe just about anything. I have seen personally, in a gym, where steroids were handed out like candy, 2 very bad accidents. First, I saw a teen who was shooting roids build some very impressive bicep muscles. He was upping the weight, and we all heard a loud snap, his tendon had too much strain put on it because tendons grow more slowly and need more time to build strength. Bones break also!

  • There is NO SUCH THING AS AN INJECTABLE MYOSTATIN BLOCKER! by dwilkes.

Actually there is. I'm looking at it now. Animal grade as well as human.

  • So yeah, functioning myostatin = good news for tendons.

  • Sorry but there is a myostatin blocker. Its called Follistatin.Normal supplements dont contain these stuff because it is highly expensive and it can increase the risk of cancer.

  • As the person who posted this video - I assure you that these cattle were NOT injected with anything. The muscling is due to a naturally occuring genetic mutation that blocks the bodies natural production of myostatin. The whippet dog is the same.
