  • I've always been inspired as to how Strauss Trunnion Bascule Draw Bridges operate. It's like controlled~chaos and complicated~simplicity all wrapped up into one super structure.

    And there are folks controlling most of these behemoths; they ARE there! :) It's too bad most people don't consider what it actually takes to just maintain those things. And like most of our modern day technical society we live in, nobody could care less about a bridge; until it's not there or in Your way. =^.^=
