Creativity has an inherent order that grows on insight and understanding. It has to develop according to that. It might need rules and boundaries to keep growing in a certain direction. It might need ideas from others to grow even further ... but ... only after a certain amount of independent growth. Without interference from others. Without criticism. Without imposed rules. Even, and maybe most of all, without praise and rewards. Which might get addicting and more important than creative growth. If the fuel comes from outside instead of the inside, it holds the risk that, one day, the fuel gets cut off.
