this would be great on bass-heavy amps, like the old Bluesbreaker combo(which is what people like Eric Clapton did back in the day with the Dallas Rangemaster treble booster).

i would say this pedal primary use would be strictly for soloing ala brian may.
its got nice AM sounds, kinda like the EHX Microsynth.

at least he isn't doing a bunch of death metal shredding. it's just classic rock sounding, teles are really good in that field.

@EclipseMusicCenter and the Jazzmaster was designed for jazz players, but you don't see anyone yelling at all the alternative and indie guys

Hey, what amp? I see a a couple Fenders back there, a little champ and... I'm not sure, a DRRI? Either way, I know that that distortion isn't coming form one of those... not without a pedal, and you say it's the amp's OD.
Sounds incredibly full. Then I consider how quietly you're playing, and the fact that you're using a Tele... wow, nice. Gotta know what amp I'm hearing.
