Trekking north of Chaing Mai near the Laos and Burmese borders is one of the highlights of any trip to Thailand. Join John and Cara as they trek 3 days and 2 nights through several hill tribe villages in northern Thailand. They walk on beautiful jungle trails, stay in stilted thatched huts with locals, ride elephants, and float bamboo rafts down a river.

  • Hello, What company did you use for your treck? I'm going to Thailand next month and this looks like a blast!!

  • @Alyal22, I think we booked it through our guest house called "Nice Place", although that was 4 years ago. Things may have changed and you may want a more recent recommendation...

  • Are the elephants well cared for because in some places they are beaten. I was just wondering. Thank you! It is a wonderful video!

  • I know that the elephants are not well taken care of in some places. I'm not an expert, but these elephants appeared to be healthy and were treated very kindly by there masters.

  • Hi John and Cara

love the vid. We're off to Thailand in 2 weeks with our kids (11 and 12) and must go on an elephant trek. Don't know who'll enjoy it most - us or the girls??

Anyway, you look like you had a good time, and you felt the elephants were well cared for. Are you able to me know the name of the tour company who you booked the tour through?

    cheers

  • lol refreshing.. haha... i know what that means XD
