Some of those photos I've never seen before. Great! The song is a masterpiece. Bowie's a genius.

Ken Andrews did a remake of this song. the orignal is kinda' folksey and Ken's version is epicly theatrical. don't get me wrong, I love Bowie, i just prefer Ken's take on this classic. (BTW the band ken headed when he did the remake was called "The Replicants")

One of Bowie's best lyrics... Great melody, too...

@wpollock1 I think of this as part of an unrelated triology that began with 'The Man Who Sold The World' album that happen to be Bowie's best three albums for me and which have just about everything he has to offer, although he gave us more than that with other great tracks like 'Space Oddity', 'Heroes', 'Jean Genie', 'Ashes To Ashes' etc. I dont think after 'Ziggy Stardust' he made more albums that were entirely such classics

@aahjamaise no it's more then fucking awesome.

Before Ziggy or the Thin White Duke there was THIS Bowie....making very personal songs. I won this album in a raffle at my high school in 1973. I always loved this album and thank God that I flipped it over to hear the entire thing. Queen Bitch, Fill Your Heart, Song For Bob Dylan, etc.

Bowie often "frightened the small children away"...those that grew up listening to his music are richer for it! Bewlay Brothers may be his crowning achievement lyrically! Simply brilliant song.

One of the best songs Bowie ever wrote; its about his brother, Terry, who was schizophrenic. Really moving song, fantastic.
