To make the story short, it was that monk who brought down the Great Tibetan Empire to the end

(unintentionally)
After the assassination of King Langdhar, Tibet broke apart into pieces and never rose up again

under one king (except spiritual leaders)

A saint once wore the long sleeve to assisinate an anti-buddhist king in Tibet.
It's related to Bhuddhisms' History. A long story and complecated.

in ancient Bhutan, courtiers worse long sleeves. Sort of like a japanese kimono. It was deep enough to conceal a bow, which was used to assasinate someone.
