Cool idea. Use the non-recyclables to collect more recyclables. I like the music, too. Keep up the good work, you might save this old planet yet.

oh jesus don't try this at home with your kids!!! This is a very dangerous experiment to do at home and could result in a lot of problems. Fun idea yes, but thermosets and kids no....PVC was made not to burn, or be reheated. This is the problem with ID&E students now....they don't get what they are doing at all...it can be recycled, but not at home with an oven!!!!

This is one of the best ideas I've seen yet! And I even entered the contest myself so I'm not being biased in any way. Great job - my kids are already wanting to make one!

great concept, awesome video--it looks like you guys had fun too. i'm actually kind of jealous; i wish i had the chance to launch myself into a truck bed full of plastic bottles.

sorry, i actually thought i was replying to another poster that had said something along the lines of 'i would have expected better from designers' or something like that... sorry about the confusion.
I think the project was fantastic really.

The simplicity is the beauty of it. Use a non-recyclable material to make an object that not only aids in recycling, but can raise awareness as well. The fact that you've come up with a way to create sheets from the caps and that it's durable as well opens up many other possibilities. Great work! Great video too!
Come up with more stuff using the same methods!

There are definitely a lot of possible uses for the sheets of bottle caps, they are quite durable.
