we dress to cover our identity management issues
like "Do you really need your nipples sown back on?"
what happens if who we were, had nothing to do with our material position, there's a criteria we are expected to follow,
rules past down from imperfect fathers,
carrying their testimonies, forever fulfilling imperfect dreams
i wouldn't call them puppet strings, sleeping just to... sleep
i'm tired and the niceness clicks with the ingest of good narcotics
our childhoods are getting shorter...
it's taking so much longer to grow up
capartmentalizing becoming everything we will eventually realize we never wanted to be.
loose change and lost love, this dirt collect in corners under rugs
never had to run on full,
never leaned to reach capacity
so these stunted legs will never make large strides,
reality just consent, to this equation to this prescription, to this perception we've walked along way, state of this union
we are all born with a brain that will equate the genius in stability
you and i need to think bigger, ya know, something better
setting a new status for our quo's
