This video is one take. No editing. No tricks. I taught my dog (Beast) how to play dead in 3 minutes. He already knew sit, shake, lie down, and roll over. I decided one night after recently purchasing a camcorder to record myself teaching Beast a trick. I figured it would take at least 20 or 30 minutes, but surprisingly it only took 3.

I will have more details on how to do it specifically soon. I just had some request from people to see the video.

ok, so I watched this and was inspired to teach my own puppy to play dead. I always gave up cuz she knows how to roll over and any time I get her to do tricks, she just rolls over (she's real proud of that trick I guess)

Your technique really worked with her... granted it took me 3 DAYS instead of 3 MINUTES, but now she plays dead (most of the time) and I'm proud of her!

My puppy is the same way... he does it great here and there. I'm happy for your puppy and I know tricks will just get easier for you guys!

My pug is stubborn and gets mad if I don't give him his treat right away. Most of the time he bites my finger if I point at him and say BANG! But he is learning... slowly. ;)

I also train my dog but when i was going to teach him how to play dead i didn't know quite how to do it then i watched your video and i did it really fast. Right now i am teaching him how to turn on and off the light... lol
