I love the 4,5,6 the best. I lived in Japan during the time they came out and they were pure RALLY BRED cars. They were rugged and beefy and purposed for one thing. RALLY. These new evos 7-10 are too luxury-like and too sleek. Bring back the 4-6's.

Why do we have to pick sides? I own an 04 WRX, but I love Mitsubishi and Subaru equally. They both have their advantages and disadvantages. I love EVO's and STi's. I want one of each... lol

@Krimghor blah blah blah. Man. Even the bbc tested the 6 verses the 7-9 model and it whipped it. It was purposely built for rallying. Not street driving with a few rallylike characteristics. Notice they didn't win to much in the 7-9 but the 4-6's they were killing the rally world. Check you facts. I'm finished talking to you. Class is dismissed

@Krimghor Haha I'll back you up because you're totally right. You can't buy these off the floor and then rally them- but you can autocross or track race off the floor! I've been racing competitively for years and at one point thought of rally, but there's way too much money that goes into modifications to prep the car for rally. In rally, they go through transmissions and suspension parts quicker than oil changes. lol

From an engineering standpoint, what suspension, engine, chasis characteristics make them better for rally than their newer counter parts?

@Krimghor 4-6 were still the best evos made..still more rally ready than the 7-10's. No doubt. I've been in them all. Everyone has a right to be wrong. You just used yours. Have a good day.
