Essie Jain "Stand in the Light"

The honesty in Essie Jain's song writing is instantly disarming to the listener. She channels her emotions and life experience through her music, laying bare a deep and often times dark stream of consciousness. But what was once an outlet to express emotions she struggled to even talk about, has become the most wonderful expression of her own life, light and view of the world.
