I'm just saying the record company would love to keep all the money they throw at rockstars... If any major band wanted they could be like hey mr. geffen..... u can keep the money.

The idea of making money isn't selling out, as long as you stay true to who you are. Once you go after what is popular to cash in on a fad... that's selling out. Exploring new ideas; and being creative isn't the SAME thing either. i don't think redblue2643 explained this well enough.

Hey Ezra, good work man. You've gotten big and so successful. Haven't seen ya in so long? Any plans to do some shows across the pond any time soon? This is Dan by the way...

if you get a record deal its selling out because at that point your making money. I'm sure the record company would LOVE to promote your music for free. the term sell out is so stupid.

hopfully they dont get big, once bands get bug they sell out. make money and sell out.

ezra is a good guy, if he does sell out it will be to fuel a raging drug addiction or woo a fine lass

There's nothing wrong with making money playing music as long as you aren't changing yourself or your music to make money. And anyone who's ever worked a bullshit job to support their music would know that. And making music can be a lot of work. Why shouldn't you make money off of it if you're already putting your heart and soul into it.
