RC Car Gone Wild Hi Range Camera on board roadcasting

THis Rc Car video tested a radio system with a very long range.
the
video is one of the few i have left of an experimental project,
using a traxxis rc car and a 3 pound tr707 Sony cam, and a long range hi band transmitter, i hope you like it
Of interest, the top speed reached was 31mph, it went out to 1.14 miles from base (transmiter antenna on my roof while i was in my room on the computer)
i haven't messed with it in years
battery used on car was a 8.4 volt 6000mamp custom back, good for 1-2 hours of ride

song is called remotecontrol remix i'm trying to ermem ember artist! ugh.. it wi ll come to me, i did this using 2 transimiters a traxxis truck rigged with a standard sony cam (3 pounds!) witha rf receiver modified to go 1-2 miles on a tower on roof, i had a practical 3/4 mile range, this was years ago. iw ant to do a 5 mile + one, but legally it's tricky on streets

solar panels are great ideas, tech now has it mirco cameras but panels are still a bit big, i like Capt idea of the mall thing,i've aquired some interesting equipment to see if i can put a new rig with some lithiums for a 2-3 hour romp , and possibly a 10 mile range, (assuming i can get the clearance to do it)

Congratulations for that video made in 2001 when wireless stuff was more expensive. I am trying to do the same with shorter distance.

hi, it wa a work started since 98,but it works i've since upgraded the range to 5 miles, or so but h aven't tested due to time limits, and the car getting run over twice! with camera that survived.. car needs to upgraded, i do like to add 'boost packs' that also run the engine hard (7.2 usualy up to 12 with a radio transmiter and all electronics boosted along with it

i have a rc car and i need to get a new antena cause i broke the only antena i had. but aft i get a new antena i'm trying to find a right spot to mound a reg. digital camrea, and idk how to mount it should i just use duck tape???

what cam and reviever for the cam did u use? and did u boost the signal?

just put the longer antana on the remote the biger antana and longer it is the beter range you can get and it will work the same as the rc camara too
