So this is the first video I have of using the MicroKorg synth as an effects unit for bass. Gonna keep experimenting and see what sounds I can come up with.
Hmmm not very useable IMHO. I have a Microkorg too and have tried all sorts of experiments with it including hooking it up to my bass via a Sonuus B2M midi converter, with equally disappointing results. I've resigned myself to the fact that you're either a bass player, or a keyboard player. And never shall the twain meet, Geddy Lee excepted.
hey! thanks for the video. i play bass and i'm more and more into electro rock. i'd like to play synth sounds through my bass. can you please check "Black Panther" by crystal castles? i wonder if i can get that Synth bass tone out of it with my bass!
The only thing I can see going on here is that you are overdriving the input. There is definitely no 'vocoder' action going on there.
You can use the microKorg for FX but there aren't any built in programs that will do it very well.

I imagine that if you can do that you can also use a keyboard controller with it? Thanks!
