During the Anti-G8 demo (July 5, Sapporo), Hokkaido police troop illegally and arbitrarily attacked journalists. A Reuters cameraman, kicked and punched by a violence policeman, raised his voice and got instantly arrested on the pretence of "obstructing thr policemen from performing their duties". Yes! it was real. This Reuter cameraman and some demonstration participants were illegally arrested by Hokkaido police. The police was too excited to keep rational because G8 was too big for the hick officers to deal with. Hokkaido police had been notorious for bribery & frame-up & sting operations including assassinating "witnesses non grata". After the arrest, we claimed these darkness. it was, I think, effective because the arrestees were all released, non prosecuted, in a week.

  • This cannot be real? It's like Dad's Army.
