I got a used RR3 Crimson Swirl for $300 from ebay, Also guitar center has a 2008 model for $500. my question is why are the newer RR3s cost like $800-$900 ??? is there a difference between the older (cheaper) models and the newer ones? aren't they all RR3s?

I think that this guitar is everything but not the most versatile you can find at all.
Don't get me wrong I like the rr3, used to have one as a matter of fact. This guitar is for metal and rock period! If you look at it's shape and looks of course. It would really look dumb if you played some RHCP, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, some jazz, queen etc...
I recently bought and ibanez S770 fm-atf and I was really looking for the most versatile guitar I can find with both looks and sound. I found it.
@ItsTheFishPro Well like i say, every one has their own opinion. I say this guitar is versitile, and the trem is 10x better than a ibanez trem.
