Why is this so hard to figure out?? Excluding fire and eliminating tree harvests from federal forests for decades has resulted in dense, unhealthy, unnatural forests that burn up in major conflagrations (huge carbon emissioins). Congress needs to revise and clarify the byzantine web of overlapping/ conflicting federal laws that allow for law suits anytime the forest service does anything, to once again allow for reasonable sustainable management of our public forests by forestry professionals.
