Wasatch backcountry skiers rise at four a.m. to climb mountains by the thin light of a headlamp for the prize: untouched deep powder in the first light of day. This wintertime Salt Lake ritual is practiced by a devout and burly few, many of whom have to punch in at work by nine a.m. For them, Dawn Patrol let's them have their fluff and a clean punctuality record at job and school.
