I bet you would think twice before walking up and poking him in his ample belly!

Arigato Sensei :)

@Darragh62 10:1 says you would be offended as hell if another person sold a game called golf that was played with a cricket bat and a soft ball. You are just another selfish, ignorant western ass that wants karate to be just as he sees fit. It isn't just as golf isn't. Karate is already defined very well and defined by the Okinawan culture centuries ago. I have spent far too much time already conversing with a fool. Do what you like, you deserve your own ignorance.

@IEKUKATAKA what r u talking about? so nobody else is allowed to practice or expand on karate???? were not allowed, u know nothing about me or wat i know... and the chinese brought martial arts to okinawa... ur a very bitter narrow-minded little man, who would do well to open ur eyes n mind a small little bit... these are totally diff times... n look at the pictures im talking bout with wrists bent.... if u can successfully punch sum1 with a bent wrist u are 1 hell of a man.. grow up or piss off

@Darragh62 Read what you ask about a martial art developed in another culture and for the defense of their lives. You have an ignorant and selfish perspective. Poor stances, wrong, bent wrist, budo etc. It is obvious you have been poorly educated about a subject you still know little of. To be honest, I would rather spend my time responding to an objective, discerning person, you aren't. Budo was not a part of karate and the karate of Okinawa has not changed in that it is THEIR martial art.

@IEKUKATAKA how is it not karate? is karate not allowed to evolve and change with the times like society does and evbody in it? evtn evolves and changes. people are fitter stronger and faster now than they ever were.look at all pictures of Funakoshi and some of his students..stances were poor by todays standards, no good. read karate-do Nyumon & look at the pics of Ten no Kata.stances are wrong, bent wrists.bodies leaning. budo spirit is different thing. each sensei needs to teach that himself

@Alexonboard The JKA and all of it's lineages ARE SPORTS. They are not sports in the minds of those who have been indoctrinated by them. Yet, history, study and the realities of Budo and how it came into existence tells quite another story. The JKA, and it's lineages, practice a sport that has a terribly deficient syllabus as a martial art and can not hold a candle to Okinawan karate. I did not say it was worthless or they can not fight, I said it is not karate, I know, I am am life member.

Sensei Kase does a very old karate style! This is very good! We can forget how karate was and we need to keep this tradition! This Sport karate that some federations are doing is destroying the real karate! Oss!!!

@brucejonesful lol yea man
I have fought against Thai fighters, and judo, and BJJ, and I've won a few, and lost a few. All are dangerous. I don't claim that Shotokan is the ULTIMATE. It depends on who's doing it. It works for me, and others. You should show some respect, but I know you won't. I don't believe that you understand Shotokan, and I don't think that I will ever change your mind. You've made your decision. Good luck in your training. Be humble. There is always someone bigger, quicker, and stronger. Osu.

I think its fair to say one punch from him would be all it would have taken to floor almost anyone.
