  • What ever happened to Jane Batts?

  • Jane retired a few years back and winters in Naples, Florida. She's writing a book based on a diary that she kept while a principal at Fisk.

  • WVNH 1110 AM...what a memory. I worked there when it was over the bank at 125 Main Street. It was 1987 and no one listened to the station. Do folks in Salem even know the town had a radio station? WCCM out of Methuen has taken over the frequency and transmitter towers on Pelham Road. Still no one listens..LOL

  • Thanks for your comments. I used to work very closely with a former newscaster there. His name was Mike Stewart (his real name was of Armenian descent) and I knew he went on to work in Manchester as either an alderman or worked for the mayor. You don't happen to know him do you, I would love to catch up with him.

    Thanks,

    Bob

  • Thanks for keeping track of the old stuff.....not many would! Kudos

  • I'm old, so it's fitting. Time to crank up the VYB page wouldn't you say?

  • Bob,

Russ Bauters here. I had Christmas at my brother Richard's house on Sunday, Dec 27th, and he told me his son had posted a comment on here and you replied. I had seen this video on the local cable channel years ago, but never knew it was on youtube as well. How have you been? I assume you are still at SHS. I will stop in someday and say hi, one of these days. Maybe you can make some copies of my hoop games if you still have video of any of them. Congrats on the hall of fame. Russ

  • thanks for that! good to hear - do you know her email address/reg address by any chance? I was in her 1st grade class (1969) and would love to contact her.

  • lol yeah i just found this by mistake, im from Derry ... Mike Carney is my Grandfather.

  • hehe, I know Russ very well and was at his wedding. I still habe all of the sports shows that he hosted at SHS. haven't seen him much since he had children.

    Bob
