Tight beat em up on SNK's behemoth old school console, with machines instead of humans. Nothing beats the sound of scraping, trashing, and clanking of 1,000 pounds of scrap metal! I remember I first saw this in action on Nick Arcade, and was very thrilled when I got to play this on the MVS cabinet at my local arcade.

The Story, according to Phil Moore from Nick Arcade:
"In this sci-fi action game, Maxima and Rocky has to restore peace that the Cyber Army has disrupted."

That sounds kinda generic eh? Here's the REAL Storyline of the game: An evil empire called the "Hell Jeed" spreads genocide on humanoids and stealing their brains to create clones of their victims; gradually expanding their empire, to create a utopia for cyborgs. Maxima and Rocky go to the front line to stop this madness.

TRIVIA: Rocky, as seen in this video; is recognized in King of Fighters 2000 as Maxima's alternate striker, but though KoF's Maxima is not in this game, Rocky was paired up with him for irony's sake. He can also be seen as a background cameo in "Neo Geo Battle Coliseum."

@misticspear, Though I know your comment was left like 25yrs ago let me revise that. The Neo Geo is/was one of the most UNRECOGNIZED systems of all time due to it's hefty price tag of both it's home system and games.....the word "underrated" is used for something that is well known but overlooked, in this case the Neo Geo was not well known but was overlooked because of it's pricing. I lived the era, TurboGrafx was underrated.
