I watched this whole thing and not once did I think anything other than "bull fucking shit" but then again Scientology was behind it and as we all know if you're mentally unwell a great space alien called xenu can fix you with nothing more than most of your money and a lifetime contract. The DSM is one of the biggest frauds since The Protoclos of the Elders of Zion. We claim to be a scientic nation. We are not. There is no science in this field inspite of the fact they they have numerous "highly respected professional journals". Louis Pasteur conducted basic scientificresearch at a time when it was very difficult to do laboratory science. Extremely rigorous guidelines, no shortcuts, before you could make a claim or conclusion. DSM they get in a room and put up their hands.

Clinical psychologists treat patients from a humanistic approach. They don't lock you up, they don't force drugs on you, and always try to treat you from a behavioral point of view.

Then perhaps there never is a benefit. What if the "cure" itself is a remedy for a manufactured illness that was administered way back without the patient knowing? They can scramble the brain with drugs, how much more to manufacture a drug to remedy the damage.

What about all the people (including young children) who do mind altering drugs for fun? There are some interesting points but this is definitely a one-way-mirror documentary. I personally know several people who if not for certain medications would live a terrible existence. They never mention scientific studies that document the benefits of some of these "psychiatric" drugs.
