"Sweet William" on a strumstick

Old trad song "Sweet William" - or rather one of the many songs that go by this name - played on a strumstick (McNally, standard, tuned down to FCf).

I learned the song from a Cordelia's Dad record, and they got it from an archival recording done in 1946, sung by I.G. Greer of Thomasville, NC and accompanied by his wife on dulcimer. You can hear that recording here:
