Of all the Trower songs this one has it all. Excellent lyrics, tremendous vocals, outstanding guitar work and the genius of Bill Lordan on the drum set. Why this trio isn't in the R & R Hall of Fame I can't even fathom.

Ain't no lights around this harbor The sea has turned and gone to bed Far off cries the lonely siren Or is that a voice within my head Right or wrong I knew what she was saying Cried out her heart such a lovely face Behind her eyes the sun is dying Maybe the moon can take it's place Out there ships upon the winds are dancing Tired old hands the sails unfold Around their eyes the wind is sighing Maybe the end a tale untold Far off cries the lonely siren Maybe the end a tale untold

@scott87031 The funky verse groove with the tight lock of the bass drums and wah always kills me! Add the melody with Dewar's soulful delivery and it's just heaven.

When I was in a particularly stressful point in my life, I would listen to this and get back to my inner zen. Now I play the end of the song myself to recapture the feeling. But the sustain has always made everything ok again. Does anyone else have favorite sections or parts of songs that put everything back right?

Wow, loved this long time. Almost thought I would not hear this again since I destroyed the cassette...nice and simple stuff!

I love this song and "Shame the Devil" but the rest of the "Earth" album didn't impress me much.
