The W52P from Panasonic Mobile Communications is a mobile phone for au's 3G system CDMA1x WIN, and the aluminum-made case gives the handset a sense of being posh. Designed for use by people in their 20's and 30's, the Panasonic mobile phone comes bundled with a design panel, which can be attached to the front surface of the handset, to allow the user to alter the image of the phone. In addition, the W52P is also equipped with the company's unique "one-push open" mechanism to allow the user to press the button built into the hinge to flip open the handset to take a call or view an incoming email message. The handset features a variety of screen designs, and shows a different design every time when it popped open. The handset weighs 120 grams and measures 50mm wide, 102mm long and 18.4mm thick. It is loaded with a 2.07-megapixel CMOS camera, a 2.7-inch TFT LCD main display, and a 0.9-inch white organic electroluminescence sub-display. The W52P remains operational for 290 hours on a single recharge, and supports a continuous talk time of 220 minutes. The handset is available in three colors: jewel gold, platinum white and indigo silver.

i agree the japanese are WAY ahead in just about every form of technology, however i just prefer the iphone. No disrespect intended, I just like touch screen technology. So if anyone from Japan is reading this and rumors are true that iphones are being given for free, can someone get me one, and Ill pay for the shipping from Japan? Never hurts to ask.
