One of the most comforting truths in the Bible is to know that God doesn't give His children a part-time or even a temporary kind of love. God's love for His own endures forever! However, some people would tell us we can somehow start out being a child of God but then end up being a child of the devil again! Therefore, this series, Eternal Security, takes a look at the 6 Reasons why people come to the faulty conclusion that God's love is not eternal, or in other words, that you can lose your salvation. It's simply because they've forgotten The Context, The Counterfeits, The Corruption of Man, The Atonement of Christ, The Use of Common Sense, and The Clear Passages in Scripture that clearly state there's no way a true Christian can lose their salvation. This is why the Gospel is called the Good News and that is this. We are not saved on the basis of our performance. We're saved by the performance of Jesus Christ. And that's why we can have Eternal Security!

What?Isaiah 59:2 But your iniquities have SEPARATED you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear.

And at the ninth hour Jesus cried out in a loud voice... "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?" Mark 15:34 if God left His only Sun alone on the cross because of our sin (that was the hardest moment for Jesus ), how can sin have no negative effect on us?? sin is the only thing that can destroy our relationship with God!!!

@keeyk118b and Hebrews 6 and 10 arent directed at us but at the Hebrews who were almost becoming Christians but were tempted to return to Judaism.And Paul said to them in those letters that there is no other way, meaning Christ wont die second time for you,so come and trust him now.They werent even saved yet.

"4 Some people CANNOT be broght back AGAIN to a changed life. They WERE ONCE in God light. They ENJOYED heaven`s gift, and they SHARED in Holy Spirit. 5 They FOUND out how good God`s word is, and they RECEIVED the powers of his new world. 6 And they FELL AWAY from Crist! It is NOT POSSIBLE to keep on BRINGING THEM BACK to a changed life AGAIN. For they are nailing the Son of God to a cross again and are shaming him in front of others.

hebrews 10 :26 to 27 is clear. you can lose your salvatiion by willfuly sinning and sinning and sinning. trying one's best not to sin is not works. can a professing christian man carry on an adulterous affair for years refuse to end and when he dies while having sex with his mistress expect to go to heaven?? it is one thing to sin on occasion while trying not to sin. it is another to sin and sin and say " God's grace will cover my sins so i will carry on sinning and not even try to stop"
