The Revolution Begins Here. 1995. Cailifornia. A junior from Jesuit makes a statement that will be heard around the country. HS runners will see that in order to be great you need to do great things. This is greatness. This is the kick that started a revolution

  • @agatster Has 2 be understood in context.I made the video hoping that people understood the situation in US distance running in mid 90's.US distance running was incredibly weak. This race, by a HS junior sent shockwaves through the running community.I trace the start of the upswing in HS distance running specifically,to this race.Just my opinion. But it's a badass 1:56 800 by a 16 year old on his way to a 4:04 (that he led for the final 1000m.)Hope you enjoyed it.Thank you for watching. Cheers, CB

  • @RunningVids Maybe you did not know he ran 1:46 and 3:35 and represented the US at the 2000 Olympics. It's cool if you did not. Now you do. Good guy who had a real nice career by almost anyone's standards. Hope you enjoyed the videos. CB

  • LIKE A BOSS!

  • Such an awesome video!

  • I like that thought- be your own hero

  • Pre lives...

  • Thats Michael Stember, he went to Stanford

  • @Sixvicious Soundtrack makes the video dude it's timed perfectly with when he makes one of the crazier moves you'll ever see in a mile race...pretty traditional to run a balls out 400 at the bell. But to do so with 600 left is just to say 'no one is on my level and only I can beat myself...just TRY to go with me.' I can't stop watching this video well done as always by CB.

  • sound track ruined it.

  • @agatster slow? This is a california state meet and his first 800 was a 2:08. That isn't very slow in my opinion.

  • That man is fast :O

  • Maybe I could hear the crowd laugh if wasn't for the sound track.
