It's not like they volunteered to teach us about their species. And is it really that important that we learn about them? Plus its not like anyone learns at zoos
@chickeninthetoilet Hi, awesome! Those are too good examples and I am glad that there are zoos actually doing this. Do you have the names so I can look into this for myself?
The zoo's here in Australia claim they are doing the same for species and yes they do educate people (though I would argue this to a degree considering the zoo's in my area) and are assisting with species under pressure.
But when it comes to some species I really question zoo's capabilities. '
@thislovefromhell I understand what your saying but can you provide me with any proof of zoos actually doing amazing work for species? Whenever i see a zoo claiming such a thing, there is usually two sides to the story.
Please help me out here, I just question zoos for good reason.
@thislovefromhell I never knew PETA claimed that? Where do you guys find out these things about them? I am not a PETA activist or supporter, i question their views and methods alot.
@thislovefromhell So in australia it was better to spend over 30 million to ship a few elephants here for display and "conservation", and this is just the cost of getting them here! Keep in mind that zoos bought these animals from shithouse trainers, thus letting them continue to disrespect elephants AND then ship them here and use bullhooks to subdue them (seen em on keepers and still do). Mmmmmm...just ponder on that for a sec please...my zoo claims what you do and yet they seem just as bad XD
well, while all animals that are not domesticated are most likely happier in the wild, not all zoos are bad, i once went to a zoo in the middle of chicago and it was absolutely amazing! the exhibits there even had more space than those in the detroit zoo!!!! its called the Lincoln Park Zoo and its free, which is really cool. anyway, back on point, i feel that zoos should only house animals that have either been raised by humans, or are very very endangered.
zoo's be bad yo, just lass weak mah antie got all mauleded by a lions dawg.
