"Good Hearted Man," performed live for the Pandora Video Series.
For the first time ever, Pandora is now presenting original and exclusive concert clips. Tuesday through Friday, each morning a new song will appear from the week's featured artist. Our first artist is Tift Merritt. Here she accompanies herself on a Fender Rhodes electric piano and sings "Good Hearted Man" from her second album, Tambourine. A North Carolinian with a smoky, gorgeous voice and a knack with a folk melody, Tift Merritt performed the morning after her duet with Emmylou Harris at the Hardly Strictly Bluegrass festival in San Francisco.
Directed by Singeli Agnew. Higher-resolution versions of this video available at http://pandora.com/show .
reminds me of Janis Joplin on this one............like "Try a Little Harder" or something like that, ya know??

She only does this 'rocking' thing when she's at the keyboard, but we don't see her do it when she plays guitar and sings. Personally, I like it as it adds something to her style.
Brilliant performer Tift!

Maybe that's just how she plays. Lots of people do things like that.
