ive got the 2003 carrera banshee. swingarm is different to yours , banana shaped. its been a good reliable bike but needs all the suspension rebuilding now, cant complain tho , nearly 9 years old!
its had 3 cranks, 4 chains , 6 pairs of tyres , 2 rear derailers , new seat , 2 rear shocks, 2 sets of front forks. Best quality part of my bike are the Alexrims! theyre still original and still good as new after thousands of miles road and trail! :-)

@kottonmouthUK Sounds like you've getting a good score m8. What's the condition of the bike? This one is 7 years old has a couple of dings and chips, but still going strong, and feels good as the day I bought it. Changed one tire and replaced the grips. Bike cost £349.99 on special offer.

@underpantswedgy I've had the bike for about 2 years, not sure how long my mate had it for but it was in good condition when i bought it, just needed the front brake fixing & a good clean as it was very muddy. It still rides very well now apart from a squeaky suspension, have you had this problem at all mate? Oh & mine doesn't have the mudguard but i might get one, it looks much better with it.

@kottonmouthUK oh NOO! I had the same problem with the rear suspension - squeaky and very annoying . So, I decided to take the rear suspension from the frame, stripped it down and realised the problem was the 2 little black bushes situated at the top part of the suspension, rubbing against the frame. (very small in size compared to the bottom bushes) got rid of them. No more squeaking since then. Not sure if they were of importance anyway??
Bike hasn't suffered any problems since.
