@ghostexorcist Another method is to freeze the blood bag. When solid you can peel off plastic, add it to half finished brain mold then pour in the remaining liquid gelatin. The frozen blood will eventually thaw in your fridge but it will be contained in middle of gelatin. So you won't have plastic inside your brain (never a good thing) and when you cut the brain the blood will flow more easily.
For extra grossness color angel hair pasta blue. Apply to sides of mold. Instant veins!

Wouldn't it just be easier to hollow out part of the first half of the brain, fill it full of the liquid, then cover that over with the rest of the mixture? You would still get the gushing effect without the checking hazard.
