where you buy chinchillas? What are their temperments like?

@ReviewCam well alot of petstores sell them but you can get a much healthier one from a smart breeder. for temperments, the black one was the meanest thing ever. she'd hiss, try to bite, but the little white one was a sweat heart. she'd sit on your shoulder, let you carry her around, little kids would hold her and everything. but sadly, i dont have chinchillas anymore...the white one (annie) died from a accident with some stairs...and i gave the black one (big mama) away.

They walk on shavings. their ok for them. i use them for my guinea pigs too.

i didnt think they would slide down it when i put them in there but they do! i think the moms to big but the white 1 goes down it. i put some dust at the bottom and she slid down and rolled in it. the only problem is annie the white one can slip through the bars so i had to put chicken wire around the cage...

@SuperChimmy No..they don't. They like open space, and hommoks. They like closed in areas, but not tubes. They are big, and don't prefer tubes..
