@melindagreenjeans Are you talking about @3:44? I'm referring directly to when you drive the front end of it with the Double Back Compressor, or any other gain stage (booster, tube screamer, super overdrive, etc) it behaves the way the preamp section of a great old tube amp behaves when adding gain up front. (which has less to do with the power section) I say "responds like such a great old tube amp" (not "cranked" old tube amp) Sorry if you misunderstood.

Um? What great old tube amp had heaps of preamp gain? none, so this idea of it sounding "like a great old tube amp that's just cranked up" is pretty absurd. It sounds like a pedal plugged into an amp. If you crank an amp and that can be a 5 watt amp, the power section breaks up and reacts with the speaker. Anyway it's NOT the same and they shouldn't be saying it is as it's misleading.

Wow. They should have had this guy demo the Twin Tube Classic pedal as well. Both are great pedals , but this Video was done SO much better.

it is a great pedal, very transparent. I find with most OD pedals, U usually lose LOW END and TRANSPARENCY (i.e. U lose the sound of the guitar). Thats Y I like ORANGE amps, the guitar sounds like it should. This is the first pedal i've played where it doesn't change the guitar.
If anything I think the hat adds alittle something something to Frank's playing.
