Latex better for bigger people like me. Looked at King Koil, Simmons, Kings Down. Bought an Aireloom by Kuft. Warranty for 20 years = $150 a year. Well worth it

I disagree slightly. I think you should try several beds first. 5-7 at most. Narrow it down between the two you like best and than wether you are a back, side, stomache, head, or feet sleeper you MUST rest test on your side. The reason is because on your back all of your body weight is dispursed over a wide section. When you try on your side your delicate joint complexes are compressed on more because less surface same weight. Wich ever is kinder to your body is the bed for you!

you are right $400 would be a comfortable mattress most memory foam are poorly rated...confusion options/dealers/kinds/models/scams/quality/and pricing issues. pay allot and get junk orpay little and get junk it is all junk.....my method buy cheap prepare to replace asap in a couple of years or buy big replace in a couple more years. I am sleeping on really cheap /thin spring an IKEA about 4 inches thick.I am heavy and large. mattress used for camping....it is several years old

So, there is no best mattress... it's just this one which is comfortable for me. I think that the most comfortable for me are this for less than $400. I feel very comfortable about them. Spending like $2000 for a foam... never.

@trophytr6c I just returned my Stearns and Foster...it was simple heavenly at first, then started sagging in the middle after 5 weeks. The problem is with the pillowtop, not the make of mattress. All pillowtops will break down quickly because of the quality of foam used. Better to buy a tight top firmer mattress, then make it softer with a latex (e.g.) topper.

Be careful when buying a "memory foam" mattress, and don't buy one from a shopping channel! I bought a Bodipedic mattress on TV in 2007. The edges are still firm, but it developed a trench down the center of it. I wake up with severe pain in my hips if I don't put a pillow in the center of the bed. If I had known that would happen, I wouldn't have spent almost 600 dollars on the thing.
Unless I could get a TP mattress (which I can't afford), I'll never buy another "memory foam" mattress again.

@mccaffrey4747 I'm satisfied with mine as most people are that have one, that's why they're always rated #1 through just about every consumer report out there. I've had some high end beds and this one is the best I've tried/owned

@sketchyy08 Tempur-Pedic is 40 year old technology! There are Sooo many beds out there that way better! Tempur-Pedic is just highly advertised so people just "believe" they are the best. Check out Serta's new icomfort bed.

Only a Tempur-Pedic is worth $3000+ anything else should be less, good Simmons beds range from $600-$3000 tops. Best places to buy mattresses are sleep shops and not furniture stores
