First Czech motorcycle was created by Václav Laurin and Václav Klement in 1899 it was a first motorcycle in Austria-Hungary. L&K was a bicycle, motorcycle and automobile manufacturer in Mladá Boleslav. The company Laurin&Klement was founded in 1895. Car production commenced in 1905 and the company soon became the largest car manufacturer in Austria-Hungary. In 1925 the company was acquired by Škoda Works and operated henceforth under the brand Škoda.
