Marantz 2216B Stereo Receiver

Just a quick overview of a 1978 Marantz receiver which is of genuine quality. Many of today's receivers are NOTHING compared to this thing.

A pair of Technics SB-2440 140-watt speakers are plugged into the Marantz... giving off an astonishing sound. Everything sounds so much more richer than even my $650 Onkyo surround sound unit. (even though this doesn't decode DTS ;-) )

Currently, I have my iMac running through it for all my streaming tunes and it sounds outstanding!

I have a 2215b that is unbelievable,partially because these receivers will push 4 ohm loads with ease(doubling power) in some cases.

no matter which model of MARANTZ you can afford,THEY ALL WILL OUT-PERFORM JUST ABOUT ANYTHING you could find.

Nice I have the exact same model and also a 1550 that I use almost everyday for movies and music. The 22 series are nice but this is the baby brother of them all at 16 watts RMS. Still most people would never believe its 16 watts when they hear it! Good stuff Marantz for sure.

I have one of those too. Bought it for $25 from a flea market. Seller didn't know if it worked. He just plugged it in without speakers and it lit up. When I got it home and swept up all the dust out of it, hooked up a pair of speakers, I was treated to the sound of various radio stations.

Love the tuning control. It has a very nice touch to it.
