3 June 08 - Tornadic supercells Indiana

Around 6PM on 3 June, 2008 storms started exploding south of Indianapolis eventually spawning numerous tornadoes. One of these occured in Johnson County at Camp Atterbury National Guard Training Facility. This storm was later found to be an EF2 and caused extensive damage to the base and continuing towards Edinburgh. Other tornadoes, including an EF3 that hit Waldron and St Paul came from these quickly developing storm cells.
I took these video images from my front porch in Indianapolis as the storms grew in strength very quickly.

a horrible example of anything resembling a tornado...even though that storm cell sailed through three or four counties producing a monster tornado...

These cells were moving away from me at the time. At the time I filmed this they were probably 25-30 miles away and dropped several very strong tornadoes. I was concentrating on how quickly these storm clouds were building. These storms popped up out of nowhere. Sorry you were disappointed, I didn't say that I had a tornado on film, but they were tornadic at the time I shot this.

I'm sorry if you feel that way. These storms were building to the south of me.

I was physically approximately 25+ miles away from the supercells. As I watched them develop, they were moving away from me and produced several very destructive tornadoes. One damaged a good portion of Camp Atterbury in Edinburg and another in Waldron. These were the building cloud tops. I was concentrating on the structure and the explosive development of the storm cells.

o ya! my friend at my cousins house. that tornado went through a backyard of a house behind her i only get thunderstorms really so i like favoriting vids of my cuzinz house
